Protect Form In Word. When a document is marked as final typing editing commands and proofing marks are disabled or turned off and the document becomes read only. Here tick the allow only this type of editing in the document checkbox.
The restrict editing task pane opens. Your document then displays a restrict editing pane on the right hand side of the document for formatting and editing restrictions. You see the following options.

You see the following options. Save the file to make sure the password takes effect. Open a template or a blank document on which to base the form. On the developer tab click restrict editing.
